GoDigital Class Registration

NOTE: At this time, you must register for each class session you wish to attend. Indicating interest in the program on the registration form does not automatically register you for subsequent class sessions.

Available Classes

Computer Basics
Overview: Introduction to computer components, operating systems, and basic functions.

Chromebook Basics
Overview: Operating Chromebooks, utilizing Chrome OS features, and accessing Google services.

Chromebook Tips & Tricks
This hands-on workshop is designed for those who are comfortable with the basics and ready to take their Chromebook skills to the next level. This session will cover keyboard shortcuts, advanced accessibility settings, file management techniques, working with external storage devices, and more. The class will also include an extended Q&A period, giving participants the opportunity to ask specific questions and get real-time solutions.

Internet Basics
Overview: Navigating web browsers, conducting searches, and evaluating website credibility

Email Basics
Overview: Setting up email accounts, composing and organizing emails, and understanding attachments.

Google Workspace Basics
Overview: Utilizing Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Slides for productivity and collaboration.

Social Media Basics
Overview:  This beginner workshop covers using Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger to connect, share posts, and manage privacy—no experience needed.

Online Safety
Overview: Protecting personal information online, recognizing scams, and using privacy settings.

Intro to Northstar Online Learning
Overview: Learn how to use the platform

Photo & Video Sharing Basics
Overview: Managing, editing, and sharing photos and videos using phones or Chromebooks, with tips on file storage and sharing platforms.

Smartphone Basics (Android/iOS)
Overview: Navigating smartphones, managing apps, and customizing settings.

Zoom Basics
Overview:  Learn how to join meetings, navigate the interface, use audio & video, share your screen, and participate effectively.

Learn-to-Earn Program

Our Learn-to-Earn Program offers learners the opportunity to earn an internet ready device (Chromebook). 

The requirements are as follows:

  • Completion of 6 individual classes, (Chromebook Basics, Internet Basics and Email Basic are mandatory)
  • Completion of two (2) Northstar training Modules
  • Successful passing of two (2) proctored Northstar Assessments.

Self-Guided Online Learning with Northstar

GoDigital Easthampton is also an authorized location for self-guided online learning using the Northstar Digital Literacy platform, including on Word, Excel, Windows (10 or 11), and much more! Northstar Online Learning is a good resource for those who already have (or can borrow) a computer with internet access but who still want to build their skills.
